Across 333 Persian pages ranking in Google's top ten, Yektanet's script was on 51 of them and Google's advertising script on 11. In this market the network with real inventory is the domestic one.
That figure counts supply, not demand. We counted where ads can appear, not who buys them. It still settles one thing: if you buy click advertising for a Persian audience, what you are buying is domestic inventory.

What was counted
403 Persian pages sitting in the top ten of 67 organic queries were fetched with a plain request, and their HTML searched for the signatures of ad networks, analytics tools, the Iranian trust seal, payment gateways and the content management system. 333 returned HTML.
| Found | Pages | Share |
|---|---|---|
| any ad network | 62 | 19% |
| Yektanet | 51 | 15% |
| other Iranian networks | 17 | 5% |
| Google Ads or AdSense | 11 | 3% |
| Google Tag Manager or gtag | 174 | 52% |
| an Iranian analytics tool | 55 | 17% |
| Microsoft Clarity | 31 | 9% |
| eNamad trust seal | 159 | 48% |
| WordPress | 204 | 61% |
One market, two separate ecosystems
51 pages carried an Iranian network and no Google. Only four carried both.
Persian publishers have effectively picked a side, and it is not Google's. For an advertiser the consequence is direct: budget sent to the domestic networks reaches inventory that exists, and budget sent to Google's display network has very few Persian pages to land on.
This is not a claim about Google Search. Ads above the search results are a different business and they appear in the very results we pulled. This is about the display network, meaning banners placed on other people's sites.
The number that stopped us
126 of the 333 pages, 38%, carried no analytics at all. No Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Clarity, no Iranian tool either.
These are pages ranking in Google's top ten. They have traffic, and they do not know how much. If one of them sells or buys advertising tomorrow, it has no way to measure the result.
Before any advertising budget, that is the thing to fix. Click advertising on a site with no measurement is buying a number you will never see.
Page weight, which is directly an advertising question
The median page in this set carried 31 script tags. On WordPress pages the median was 40 and on everything else 16. The heaviest page carried 226.
Each ad network adds several more, usually loaded synchronously. If your site shows ads and feels slow, those two facts are connected. And if you are the advertiser, the landing page a click arrives on should be lighter than your ordinary pages, not heavier.
61% of these pages were WordPress and 60% of those WordPress pages ran Elementor. That combination explains why the script count on WordPress runs two and a half times the rest.
A Google rule that Persian advertising keeps stepping over
Google's documentation says links that are advertisements or paid placements should be marked with the sponsored value, and that nofollow, previously recommended, is still acceptable but sponsored is preferred.
For a banner this takes care of itself, because the banner sits in an iframe. Where it does not is sponsored articles and bought in-text links. If you are buying or selling a sponsored post and the link is unmarked, that is a paid link without disclosure as far as Google is concerned. The detail is in Google's guidance on qualifying outbound links.
The questions people actually ask
What does click advertising mean? You pay per click on the ad rather than per impression. It is the common model on the domestic networks and on Google Ads alike.
Which click advertising site is best? The honest answer is that «best» depends on your audience and we hold no data on click quality per network. What we do hold is which network appears most on high-traffic Persian pages, and that is Yektanet.
Which advertising sites carry the most traffic? In our sample the networks appeared on news, educational and retail pages. Corporate and service sites showed almost no advertising at all, which is a sensible choice on their part.
The limits, and there are several
Supply was counted, not demand. A network's script on a page means the page has ad slots, not that anyone bought them.
We took a plain HTML request rather than a full browser. A script injected only after JavaScript runs is missing from this count, so these figures are a floor and not a ceiling.
The sample was built from the organic results of 67 queries in our own markets: hosting, SEO, web design, graphics, freelancing. Repeat this on news or entertainment queries and the advertising share will almost certainly come out higher.
If you have an advertising budget, this is the order
Measurement first, landing page second, budget third. It is a dull order and no agency enjoys saying it, because the first two steps carry less money than the third.
It is also defensible. Without measurement you cannot tell which channel worked, and without a proper landing page the click you paid for dissolves into a home page. The relationship between impressions and clicks in organic results follows the same logic it does in advertising.
If your business is local, check where you sit for your own city before spending anything on clicks, because positions differ from one city to another and the cheapest channel is sometimes the one you already have.
Planning channels and dividing a budget between them is what we do under digital marketing services, and before that most people need to know what the whole thing costs, which is what the real numbers behind building a site was written for. The landing page a paid click arrives on is itself part of a site designed to turn a visit into a conversation.
403 pages were fetched on 19 August 2026 with a single HTTP request from a server in Helsinki, and 333 returned HTML. Detection was by script domain names present in the page source.
