An SSL certificate encrypts the connection between a user and your server, the same green padlock next to your site's address. A free, automatic Let's Encrypt certificate is installed on every RGB hosting plan; if your store or corporate brand needs an EV/OV or Wildcard certificate, order it right here at a transparent, live price.
Prices are calculated from the live dollar rate and update automatically as the exchange rate changes. If you're on RGB hosting, a free DV Let's Encrypt certificate is already active for you and there's no need to buy one; the options below are for specific needs (Wildcard, enterprise).

Consult & ContactSSL (Secure Sockets Layer), and its newer successor TLS, is a protocol that encrypts the connection between a user's browser and your site's server. Without it, any information a user enters (passwords, card numbers, contact details) travels across the network as plain text and can be intercepted.
Google has officially named HTTPS a ranking signal since 2014. A site without SSL has a weaker chance competing on website SEO, and in many cases faces a direct "not secure" warning in results and browsers.
Without HTTPS, today's browsers (Chrome, Firefox) show a "Not Secure" label next to your site's address, meaning you lose user trust from the first moment, especially on a contact form or checkout.
Iranian payment gateways require a valid SSL certificate. If you have WooCommerce hosting or any online store, SSL isn't optional, it's a prerequisite for launching.
The right choice depends on your site's type and size; the guide below simplifies the decision:
Only domain ownership is checked; fast issuance (minutes) and the cheapest option. Completely sufficient for corporate sites, blogs, small stores, and most businesses. The free Let's Encrypt version is from this same family.
If, besides your main domain, you have subdomains like shop.example.com or panel.example.com, one Wildcard certificate covers all of them, instead of buying a separate certificate for each.
Besides the domain, the organization's identity is also verified during issuance; it creates a higher level of trust for large stores or brands whose customers care about their identity. Requires company registration documents.
For most customers, the free SSL is enough. Only go for the paid options if you need Wildcard or OV-level validation, there's no obligation to buy SSL on RGB hosting.
Pick the right plan and set your billing cycle.
Enter your contact details and pay by card-to-card transfer or payment gateway.
Your service is activated after payment confirmation, and access details are sent to you.
On RGB hosting (Linux hosting, WordPress hosting, WooCommerce hosting), a Let's Encrypt certificate is automatically issued, installed, and renewed before expiry, with no manual action needed. For paid certificates (DV/Wildcard/OV), initial issuance and installation are also handled by the technical team, and annual renewal happens with an email/SMS reminder.
Even with a valid certificate, these errors can show up, usually for a simple technical reason:
When a page loads over HTTPS but some images, scripts, or fonts still load from an HTTP address. Fix: replace all internal links with HTTPS or a relative path; on WordPress, this is usually fixed with a search-and-replace in the database.
Usually means the certificate wasn't renewed, or the server configuration doesn't see the new certificate. If you're not on RGB hosting and don't have auto-renewal, this is one of the most common causes of a store losing access.
The certificate was issued for example.com but the site also runs on www.example.com. Fix: a SAN or Wildcard certificate that covers both cases.
If the redirect isn't set up correctly, some traffic and SEO equity from the HTTP version leaks away. Setting up a proper 301 redirect at the server level is part of RGB's website security service.
A valid SSL certificate with auto-renewal is active on all five domains in the RGB family; the exact service we sell here. Open them and check the padlock next to the address bar:

Site-wide HTTPS on an education platform; secure for payments and the accounts of thousands of learners.

See It LiveClear answers to common questions about buying and installing SSL.
For most sites, no. The free Let's Encrypt certificate installed on every RGB hosting plan provides exactly the same DV encryption as a paid one, in terms of security and SEO. Only if you need Wildcard (multiple subdomains) or organization-level validation (OV) does buying a paid certificate make sense.
There's no difference in encryption strength, both use the same TLS standards. The main difference is in the level of identity verification (DV vs. OV) and extra capabilities like covering multiple subdomains (Wildcard), not raw connection security.
Today's certificates are typically issued for one year (some even shorter). Free Let's Encrypt renews automatically every 90 days; paid certificates renew annually, and on RGB hosting, at the same purchase rate, with no quiet price hike.
Browsers show a "Not Secure" warning, forms are flagged as unsafe for entering data, payment gateways refuse to connect, and Google ranks your site lower relative to competitors with HTTPS.
The free certificate on RGB hosting is usually activated automatically within minutes of hosting setup. Paid DV certificates are also typically issued and installed the same day; OV may take 1 to 3 business days due to organization verification.
Yes, as long as the domain's DNS points to your hosting server. For newly registered domains, you first need to register the domain and set up DNS, then the certificate is issued.
For most small and medium stores, free or paid DV is sufficient. If your brand is large and you want to give customers a higher level of visual trust, OV is a better option; for a store with multiple subdomains (like a separate panel and blog), consider Wildcard.
This doesn't happen on RGB hosting since renewal is automatic. If you're hosted elsewhere and your certificate has expired, the fastest fix is issuing a new certificate (free or paid) and installing it manually on your hosting panel, or transferring to RGB hosting to permanently resolve this concern.
During a free site migration to RGB hosting, the technical team issues and installs a new (free) SSL certificate alongside the migration; you don't need to worry about this step yourself.
Yes, the DV/Wildcard/OV certificates on this page can be ordered independently of hosting and installed on any server (even outside RGB); installing on non-RGB hosting may require access to your hosting panel.
With RGB hosting, SSL is free and automatic. For paid certificates or advice on the right type, contact us.
