A registered domain is not the same thing as a free one
Every domain you see here has an owner, and that owner has put it up for sale. If what you want is a name that is still free and you intend to register it yourself, your route is domain registration, which checks availability on the spot. For the ir extension there is a separate ir domain page.
We did not draw that line for no reason. In August 2026 we looked at the Google results for buy domain in Persian, and all ten of the top results were hosting companies registering free names. So when somebody writes that phrase, they almost always mean registering, not buying from an owner. If you are after the second one, you are in the right place.
The price here has nothing to do with the registration fee
A free ir domain costs a few tens of thousands of Toman a year. A domain you see here may be a hundred times that, and there is no contradiction: what you are buying is not the right to register, it is a name that is short, or means something, or has a history. Length, extension, and how many other people want that same name are what make the price.
Sellers tend to weight the length of the name too heavily and the extension too lightly. A five letter name on ir sells more easily in the Iranian market than the same name on an uncommon extension, even when the seller is certain their name is special. Learn how the transfer works before you pay
Ownership of a domain does not move on a verbal promise. For ir it is done in the IRNIC panel by changing the holder and takes a few minutes; for international extensions you get a transfer code from the current registrar. We do not check the ownership of any domain and a listing is not a title deed, so look at the whois yourself before you pay.
