Channels change hands here, not members
Let us be blunt about the difference, because the wider market has blurred it. In August 2026 we looked at the Google results for buying a Telegram channel in Persian, and most of the first page were member-selling services: places where you pay to make the number at the top of your own channel go up. What changes hands in this section is the channel itself, with the content and the audience it already has.
The number you should be asking for
Member count is the most misleading number on Telegram. The average views per post is what actually shows the state of a channel, and the listing form in this section asks for it separately. A channel of fifty thousand whose posts get two thousand views is healthier than one of a hundred thousand getting eight hundred. When the views to members ratio is very low, it usually means the members were bought once and then drained away.
The transfer, and what is not guaranteed
Ownership of a channel moves by transferring the main admin rights, and that is reversible for as long as the previous owner still has access. So the order matters: settle first, then transfer fully, then remove the old admins immediately. We neither count the members of any channel nor verify their views; every number you see is the seller word.
