    Eight pages from one query.

The page ranking sixth for the Persian query «content production price» prints a table saying 300 to 500 toman per word, and a few lines above it, in its own summary box, 50,000 to 300,000 toman per word. A thousandfold discrepancy on one page.

We opened the first eight results for that query today and took their numbers. What follows is the actual state of pricing in this market rather than another rate card.

Content Pricing in Iran: The Figures Actually Published

What is actually published

Of the eight pages we went for, one would not load. Of the remaining seven, one publishes no figure at all and one offers only a payment box with a 55,200 toman minimum and no tariff attached to it.

ItemPublished figure
general writer, per word300 to 500 toman
experienced writer, per word600 to 900 toman
highly specialised writer, per word1,000 to 1,500 toman
a 1,000-word article400,000 to 900,000 toman
one professional caption50,000 to 150,000 toman
monthly package, 10 to 50 articles3 to 20 million toman
another site's packages190,000 / 290,000 / 340,000 toman
monthly Instagram content packages8.9 / 12.9 / 15.9 million toman
specialist article, on a post dated March 2025150 to 300 toman per word

Three problems that make that table unusable

The units do not match. One seller prices by the word, one by the article, one by the month, one by an Instagram package. Comparing 500 toman a word with 12.9 million a month is not a comparison.

There are no dates. The only page carrying a clear one is from March 2025, and its figure of 150 to 300 toman a word is half the lowest current number. In an economy where the exchange rate moves through the year, a price without a date is not a price.

And there is that internal contradiction. When a page gives two figures a thousand apart in two of its own sections, those figures did not come from anywhere. They were written to fill a page.

What none of these pages will tell you

The expensive part of content is not the writing. It is choosing the subject.

This morning we measured 112 Persian phrases, every one of which looked reasonable on paper. Seventy-one of them had no measurable search volume in Iran. Zero. Buy ten articles, have six of them address something nobody searches for, and the per-word rate stops mattering: sixty per cent of the budget was gone before the first sentence.

That is the only number in this piece that will change what you do. The rest is pricing.

So what actually moves the number

Three things, and none of them is word count.

The subject. An article that requires reading a source, extracting a figure or speaking to a specialist takes several times longer than one assembled from three other articles. The gap between 300 and 1,500 toman a word in that same table is exactly this, and it is a fair gap.

Responsibility. If the writer decides what gets written, that is research rather than writing and it is priced separately. If you supply the topic list, it is cheaper and the risk is yours.

Revision. A price that does not include two rounds of revision is not a price, because the third round gets charged to you somewhere else.

How we price, and why the number is not in this article

Our service prices are live on their own page and pegged to the current rate rather than fixed and refreshed once a year. What you see today on the content production page may not be what is there next week.

We are deliberately not repeating a figure here. A fixed number inside an article is precisely what we found on all eight pages above, and it is precisely the thing that goes stale and stays put.

Judging a quote

Four questions, and the answers tell you more than any rate card about what is being sold.

Who chooses the subject, and on what basis? If the answer is «you tell us», you have not bought keyword research. If it is «we choose by search volume», ask where the volume comes from and how it is calculated for Iran.

How many rounds of revision are inside the price?

What happens if the writing does not work? Nobody guarantees a ranking, and anyone who does should end the conversation there. But «if none of these ten articles has impressions after six months, what then» is a fair question and it deserves an answer.

And last: which previous piece of work is ranking right now? Not a writing sample. A result.

The limits of this review

Eight pages from one query. Pages ranking for «content tariff» or «Instagram content price» in Persian will carry different numbers.

The figures were taken from visible page text on 19 August 2026. If those pages change tomorrow this article goes stale, which is itself part of the argument.

And we sell in this market too. Read the table with that in mind.

To know which subjects have any demand before you commission anything, keyword research against real Iranian volume is the job that comes first. For comparison with the rest of an SEO budget we wrote a breakdown of SEO costs, and for the whole project what a website build is actually made of. Where the content is destined for a site that does not exist yet, building the site and writing it together comes out cheaper than commissioning them apart.

The first eight Google results for the Persian query were opened in a browser on 19 August 2026 and the figures taken from visible text. One of the eight did not load.
