What we have actually read
The API models page lists three frontier models, each with an id, a price and a knowledge cutoff. GPT-5.6 Sol is presented for complex professional work at $5 in and $30 out. Terra balances intelligence against cost at $2 and $12. Luna is for cost-sensitive workloads at $0.20 and $1.20. All three carry a 1.05M token context window, up to 128K of output, and a knowledge cutoff of 16 February 2026.
Beside them the page lists GPT Image 2 for images, the realtime line for live voice, transcription models and a text to speech model. The developer platform has three parts: the API, Codex as a coding agent across desktop, web, CLI and cloud, and plugins written as skills and MCP servers for ChatGPT and Codex.
What we have not read, and why
Every path on openai.com returns 403 to this server. We have tried it with a browser user agent, and we ran it again on 12 August 2026: the domain root and the ChatGPT pricing page both answered 403, while robots.txt on that same domain opens with a 200 and does not disallow crawling. The obstacle is a bot protection layer, not a rule we would be breaking.
The consequence is that ChatGPT plan prices, its feature list, the countries it serves and even the current version name of Sora are not available to us from the maker own source. We could write them from memory and the page would look complete. That is what the other round-ups do, and it is the thing this reference was built to replace.
When this hole gets filled
The day openai.com answers this server. This page, the ChatGPT entry and the Iran column all get filled with a fresh read date, and the change log records it. Until then, the empty cell is our answer.

Where it falls short
- There is no fact about ChatGPT on this page, because the consumer pages on openai.com return 403 to this server and we do not write from memory.
- The prices here are API prices, not what a ChatGPT subscriber pays. The two should not be conflated.
- The Sora model id is absent from the API models page, so we have nothing measurable about OpenAI video.
- The supported-countries list lives on openai.com and that domain still returns 403, but on 3 September 2026 we read the same list on the developer domain: about 195 countries and territories, with Iran not among them. So the Iran column for this maker is no longer empty.
- The ChatGPT candidate still sits in our rankings with every cell empty and takes no rank, because what we still cannot read is which model runs under the app and what its plans cost.
Our take
For a developer working against the API, OpenAI is fully assessable and the documentation is clear. For somebody shopping for ChatGPT, this page is no use today, and we would rather say so than invent a plausible number.
