The short answer

This tool says which keywords a domain is visible for in Google today. Its main use is comparing a competitor list with your own and finding the keywords they take traffic from while you have no page for them at all.

The approach that really works is this: take the competitor list, isolate their positions four to fifteen and see which of those serve you. Those are the keywords the competitor is not standing firmly on either, so competing with a better page is realistic. Their positions one to three usually have years of investment behind them, and taking those is a separate project rather than a single page.

Do not overlook the landing page column, because it is exactly where the competitor content structure gives itself away. If ten related keywords all rank to one of their pages, they have built one comprehensive page and you should do the same rather than ten small ones. If instead each keyword goes to a separate page, the topic is large enough to be split.

The keywords with both a high position and a high CPC are the most valuable rows in this table and are where to start. A high CPC means somebody buys advertising for that exact keyword, and nobody pays for a keyword that brings no customers. A competitor who has won that keyword organically is taking the same customer for free.

What you get back

What each output column actually means. Read this before your first run so you do not misread a number.

Current rank
That domain's position in Google results for that keyword, per the provider's latest data.
Monthly volume
That keyword's monthly search volume.
CPC
That keyword's average ad cost per click.

Where the data comes from

Data comes from DataForSEO Labs, without being tied to a specific country. It usually returns results for international domains; for mostly-Persian/Iranian domains it's usually zero (not an error, just a fact about this provider's coverage in Iran).

When it helps

To find keywords your competitor gets traffic from that you're not yet ranking for.

Where it does not help

For mainly Persian and Iranian domains this tool usually returns zero, and we say so up front so you do not waste your time and money. The cause is not a broken tool but data coverage: the database this list comes from does not cover Iran. For international domains it usually does return results. If your target domain is Iranian, use link competitors instead, which is based on link overlap and does not depend on location, or run the full Google results tool on the specific keywords that matter to you and see where the competitor stands on the page.

One thing we learned using it

When the output is empty, it does not mean this domain ranks for nothing, it means we do not have the data, and those two are worlds apart. We do not fill the gap with a zero, because zero means we measured and found nothing, while the truth is that we did not measure at all. If some tool hands you a full list for an Iranian domain, the first question to ask is where it got the data.

What it costs

Price per run $0.034

No monthly subscription. You top up a wallet and the price of a run is printed on the button before you press it; if you never run it, nothing is deducted.

Questions about this tool

Why is the output empty for my Iranian site?

Because this tool database does not cover Iran. It is a known provider limitation, and rather than filling it with a guessed number we show it empty. For an Iranian domain use link competitors or the full Google results tool.

How is this different from site keywords?

This one says what the domain ranks for; that one says what it has content about. The second is far larger and carries no positions. To understand content strategy use that one, to see the real outcome use this one.

Can I see my own keywords with it?

Yes, enter your own domain. But if your site is Persian the same coverage limitation applies here too. For your own real positions the rank tracker is the correct source, because it fetches the Google result for your keywords every day.
